Motion obscures awareness of color changes
"Here, we show that objects changing in hue, luminance, size, or shape appear to stop changing when they move."
If you focus your eyes on the center of the video, you can see the dots on the periphery change color, but when the ring of dots begin to rotate, their changing of color becomes less apparent - a phenomenon referred to as motion-induced silencing.

The "Confuzzle" optical illusion
I believe this is a variant of the old "Disappearing Man" illusion. Instructions for creating your own Confuzzle with posterboard and ruler and scissors is at Instructables.

Best visual illusion of the year, 2010
In this video, wooden balls roll up the slopes just as if they are pulled by a magnet. The behavior of the balls seems impossible, because it is against the gravity. The video is not a computer graphic, but a real scene. What is actually happening is that the orientations of the slopes are perceived oppositely, and hence the descending motion is misinterpreted as ascending motion. This illusion is remarkable in that it is generated by a three-dimensional solid object and physical motion, instead of a two-dimensional picture.Link for other contest winners.

This is not a spiral
The broad bands of the background are spirals, but the skinny black/white shapes are just concentric circles. If you don't believe it, trace one with your cursor.

Which face is male? Which is female?

The two faces are actually identical in terms of morphology - the shape and position of the facial bones and the features. The only difference between the two is that the one on the left was generated using higher contrast. One implication is that high-contrast faces tend to be interpreted as more feminine than low-contrast faces.
This is one of ten interesting items in a set at Scientific American. The paired faces also placed third in the this year's Best Visual Illusion of the Year Contest. TYWKIWDBI has previously posted the winner and the runner-up.

Most people view this as a set of door panels. It may take quite a while to convince oneself that there are actually 16 circles in the image...

"Weeping" glacier

Photograph taken at the Austfonna ice cap in the Svalbard archipelago, published in the Daily Mail. Alex at Neatorama points out that this is an excellent example of pareidolia:

The two photos are identical - even though it appears that the tracks are more vertical in the right photo and more slanted in the left one.
Similar in concept to the Leaning Tower of Pisa illusion.

Round circles optical illusion

The pattern made by the black and the white boxes is that of four round nested circles. They are NOT arranged in a spiral.

An audio illusion
Click this video to play it. When it finishes, click the "replay" button. Your mind will think that the sounds are continuing to rise along the musical scale, whereas in reality it's absolutely the same tonal sequence repeated.

Bent lines optical illusion

All of the elements in the following image are perfectly aligned vertically and horizontally. There are no bent lines.

This spiral does NOT have blue and green arms


The "blue" and the "green" are actually the SAME COLOR. The RGB numbers are 0, 255, 150, which for convenience we will call bluish-green (see small inset, left, which contains a sample from the greenish arm and one from the bluish arm).The reason the spiral arms appear different colors is that when the bluish-green is embedded in purple in looks blue, and when embedded in orange it looks green - as shown in the bottom magnified view.

Not the face of Jesus

An old sepia-toned photograph with what appears to be a bizarre, curly-haired, mustached large head positioned between a man and woman.
It's actually a child sitting on the man's lap. Her cloche-style hat forms the "forehead" and her right arm the "nose." There's foliage between her and her mom.
The image doesn't supersize, but perhaps you can do option-command-+ (or the PC equivalent) to zoom in on your monitor.
